Bio 1981 – 1986 Bratislava Conservatory (trumpet and percussion instruments) 1987 – 1993 Academy of Performing Arts, Bratislava (conducting – Ladislav Slovák, Bystrík Režucha)  1993 – 1994 The Hague Royal Conservatory (conducting – Jac van Steen, Ed Spanjaard, Jan Boogarts, (composition – Louis Andriessen, performance of early music – Jan Kleinbussink)  1985 – 1990 member of the percussion section of Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra (SOSRo)
As conductor Anton Popovič has collaborated with the following orchestras: SOSR, Bratislava Chamber Soloists, State Philharmonic Košice, State Philharmonic Brno, SLOVAK NATIONAL THEATRE Opera Orchestra, State Opera Banská Bystrica, Capella Istropolitana, Musica aeterna, Symphony Orchestra in Pécs (Hungary), VENI ensemble, Group 180 etc. He has appeared at the Bratislava Music Festival, Days of Old Music in Bratislava, Evenings of New Music, Melos-Étos Festival, etc.
